Simple Cobbler

Growing up my Dad always told me about simple cobbler and counted it out on his hand 1+1+1+1 for 1 hour.  The other night I was in need of an easy dessert so I pulled out the recipe and it was as easy as I remember.  This works well with cherry, peach, and apple but feel free to use fruit of your choice. 

 

 

Dad's Easy Cobbler

1 quart Fruit
1 cup self rising flour
1 stick marg/butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

Melt Butter in 9x13 Pan in 350 oven. Mix flour, sugar, and milk in bowl and pour in pan. Top with 1 quart of fruit. Cook for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until top is browned.
